Dubbing into Scots touted for blockbuster movies | News | The National
Goes down well with doric speakers. This is ridiculous there is no one dialect of broad scots the regional variiations are and wete tremendous. Robert Burns wrote in an ayrshire dialect scots oor wullie and the broons should be read with a dundee accent to get the full effect I come from rural fife the accent and many of the words differ and differ again from someone from the mining areas of fife or places like glasgow. I'm all for keeping history and culture alive but cultrural fascism gets me annoyed bunch of intellectual wankers that klnow a great deal less than they like to pretend.
It's like lamenting the demise of cockney sad but inevitable change bot would you want to see filoms dupped in to cockney?
Cultral fascists :-5:-5

Yes OK I fell for it. There is actually a lobbying group that want scots to be taught in the schools. Irritates the life out of me.

try it on your freinds and watch while some try and work out if you have just said something really obscene and the ones who would be cool but know less than they like to let on smile knowingly as if they understand - that's assuming you an your fruiends are of an age when being cool still matters. .

Redneck I can understand it's urban speak that loses me. I can't think of any rappers I can follow or more than a few words give me country music every time.
