paedophile footballer adam jhonson is to be moved to a cushy jail despite being only 6 weeks into a 6 year sentence he,s tipped to go to holme house jail instead of frankland high security jail that houses soham killer ian huntley.

Paedophile footballer Adam Johnson is set to be transferred to a cushy jail so that he can be closer to his family home.

It is believed the former Sunderland winger wants to transfer from HMP Leeds, with category B prison, HMP Holme House, in County Durham, to be his likely destination.

Initially it was believed Johnson was due to be moved to high security HMP Frankland but it has emerged that he may avoid the jail for other facilities in the north east.

The 28-year-old, who won 12 caps for England during his career, was sentenced to six years in prison after being found guilty of one count of sexual activity with a child, in March.

He had earlier pleaded guilty to a count of sexual activity with a child and one charge of child grooming.

Johnson is launching an appeal to overturn his conviction and the case will be sent to a higher court in London for consideration.

The disgraced footballer wants a jail transfer so that he can be closer to his ex-girlfriend Stacey Flounders, 26, father David, 55, and sister Faye, 23, who live in the North East.

As well as Holme House, HMP Durham, another category B jail, has also been rumoured to be his next destination, reports the Sun.

At Holme House Johnson will have the opportunity to start a 'level 1' coaching course, while if he moves to Durham he will be able to use an astro-turf football pitch.



The conditions are a far cry from the tough regime facing inmates at HMP Frankland, where it was widely believed the sex offender sportsman would be heading.

Earlier today the Mirror reported that Johnson would be joining some of Britain's most dangerous and notorious criminals in the jail, whose inmates include Soham killer Ian Huntley and murderer of teenager Milly Dowler, Levi Bellfied.

If Johnson was to successfully appeal his sentence, he would need to prove to a panel of three top judges that his conviction is 'unsafe' for a reason such as inconsistency of verdicts, a misdirection of the jury or wrongly excluded evidence.

talk about two tier justice one law for celebs and one for the plebs

if this had been an ordinary person they would have been en route to frankland quicker than you could say norman stanley fletcher.

its reported that jhonson has lost half a stone in prison as he is terrified of eating food spat in by the servers destined for the noncers and survives on cereals milk and pot noodles that he can prepare in his cell theres fury and people are up in arms about it suggesting that jhonson is getting preferential treatment but theres also AJ supporters who claim that he is not a sex beast even though he groomed and had sexual activity with a 15 year old girl and even had animal porn yet his girlfriend is supposedly sticking by him or should that be the money.

there is still one bright outcome for arrogant adam jhonson even though he may be moved to a cushier jail security will not be as tight as it is at frankland and jhonson is still likely to be a target as it doesnt really matter what jail he moves to he,s still labeled a paedophile.

his arrogance even stretches to his appeal where he claims his conviction is a joke and believes in his own self centred arrogant world he will get off.

hopefully the judges will see him for what he is a arrogant ex footballer and increase his sentence giving him more time than he originally got though it would be a sad day for justice if the decision went the other way and AJ got off then it would prove that there is a two tier one for us and one for them justice system and that justice is as bent as AJ is.

I see on the news that Rolf Harris has pleaded Not Guilty to 8 more charges, the trial for which is not set to start until January. Personally I reckon he would have done better to plead Guilty to all of them & have the sentences run concurrently with the ones he's already on. This way they could just easily make the sentences sequential.
