Do you remember the veiled threats said with a smirk and with mirth from those adults we knew as children? When you werent quite sure they were serious but you took it onboard as a life experience?
I just had one of those moments. And its made me think that getting older can be fun. Especially when your wisdom outsmarts a little **** who sighs when they see you having phone or computer troubles.
"Miss megan?"
Yep?
Youre old now arent you"
No, getting older now ...why?
"Can you see and hear stuff?"
Yes why?
" but youre old"
Well if you think that then have you seen how many kids get run over in their own driveways by their parents?
"Hhmmmm yeah"
Well they can see, wouldnt you prefer it was an accident?

Heres motherly love for you..... my 21 year old has a broken hand at the moment.
Now if he was ten id be all over him ...my poor baby etc...but hes 6'2 and no longer a child.
So now i just laugh and shake my head.
You know its going to be funny when the conversation starts off with ..."well we were at the pub for such'nsuchs birthday when".......oh dear!
Well it seems they left the pub in two groups and my son decided in his inebriated state to take a short cut so as to catch up with the other group. That was the first mistake. The second was to run down an alley way that the council has blocked off with a glass wall.
Now like i said , if he was ten....well. but hes a drunk 21 year old ....so as a loving mother i laugh . Thinking what it must of looked like on the other side of the glass partition as he tried to rugby tackle it.
Yes thats right folks! If you watch those tv shows that show cctv idiots, then my son is coming to a tele near you.

You always think youre done with looking after kids once they leave home.
But not so really. Yep its the 21year old again.
I was in town so i thought i would pick him up from work because the clutch went on his car and he cant drive anyway because of his broken hand. So i text him to say ill be waiting for him in the pub next door to his work and ill have a beer waiting for him. He texts back...."no beer for me please"....
WHAT? ....
..i knew he was living the healthylife these days but giving up beer too? Something isnt right here.
Well it turns out hes not allowed to drink alcohol for a few weeks after. 'Accidently' getting his head punched in by his mate early Sunday morning.
Yes i asked that question too...."accidently"? Turns out that he had some mates round and at 4am he another after everyone had gone to bed would sit in a mates car with the heater going and engine running to warm themselves up because they were cold and had run out of wood.
Unfortunetly the mate has woken up, and thought someone was stealing his car . He flies out of the house and attacks my son .....not knowing it was his mate.... the other mates drag the dude off him and all is explained.
Appently i should be proud of my son because he understood the mix up so didnt hit his mate back....took it on the chin..... literally!
So he now has concussion, a very bruised face and jaw line, a broken hand and something else worse still.
He had to travel to melbourne this morning to see the surgeon but its the day before pay day so i drove into town to drop some money off to him. So i get into town at 5:30 am grab him coffee and some toasted sandwhiches for the trip and rock round to his joint to pick him up.....no he wasnt out of bed.... pfft! With 4mins he was dressed and in the car.....impressive.
Whilst waiting for the bus we see a couple of SESvechiles go by....there was a wind warning last night so probs trees down. Then some police cars.... anyway, he gets on the bus and i go for some petrol and find out car into tree and its on fire.... three amboes, SES, CFA, police... find out later one dead, one arrested at the scene but the amboes were able to bring him back and he was flown to melbourne.
Its the country so you just hold your breath and pray you wont recognise the names.
My son later rings me from the surgeons clinic "it was an accident this morning"....
Yeah i know..... i begin to give him details but he cuts me off and says , "yeah i know, its Wil they resussed at the scene......I dont know his brother though"
****! ****! Blast!.......... there are some things you cant help your kids with. Hes 21,and this will be the forth accident he and his friends have had to deal with.
e coke and lemon drink. Oh dear god, why do i ask the questions?
Well it seems
