New Black Panthers

Post by FourPart »

I've just been watching an item on BBC News about the new Black Panther movement who are encouraging black people to arm themselves openly, and legally supposedly as a protest about their being targeted by the Police. Well, am I missing something here? If I saw someone coming towards me who was heavily armed like that, I doubt I would want to gamble on whether that person was only intending to use use them for defence purposes only. With a heavy gun culture, it's a case of kill or be killed.

Oh great. The reaction to that won't be pretty. Somehow, I think the extreme ammosexuals may consider that to be an excuse for more stupidity.

I hope I'm wrong.

It has been long evident to me that people who open carry firearms for show are their (our) worst enemies.

In California before 1967 open carry of a loaded firearm was legal. Far as I know there was no problem until some Neegro's of the Black Panter party decided to take arms into the state capitol.

That resulted in the Mulford Act and fast forward to around the turn of the century Open carry activists did exercise their rights under the law. Demonstrating etc, it is a long story of poking the eye of the lion with a stick.

It was inevitable that the communist in control just outlaws open carry all together and since proceeded to lay the groundwork to total confiscation.

In all of the story, I just related nobody was killed or hurt.

There is no reason it should happen now.

The only thing I see new about these Black Panters are they make not qualms about being a hate group along the lines of the KKK.

NEW BLACK PANTHER PARTY

The New Black Panther Party is a virulently racist and anti-Semitic organization whose leaders have encouraged violence against whites, Jews and law enforcement officers.

Founded in Dallas, the group today is especially active on the East Coast, from Boston to Jacksonville, Fla. The group portrays itself as a militant, modern-day expression of the black power movement (it frequently engages in armed protests of alleged police brutality and the like), but principals of the original Black Panther Party of the 1960s and 1970s— a militant, but non-racist, left-wing organization — have rejected the new Panthers as a "black racist hate group" and contested their hijacking of the Panther name and symbol.

In Its Own Words

"Our lessons talk about the bloodsuckers of the poor¦ . It's that old no-good Jew, that old imposter Jew, that old hooked-nose, bagel-eating, lox-eating, Johnny-come-lately, perpetrating-a-fraud, just-crawled-out-of-the-caves-and-hills-of-Europe, so-called damn Jew ¦ and I feel everything I'm saying up here is kosher."

— Khalid Abdul Muhammad, one of the party's future leaders, Baltimore, Md., Feb. 19, 1994

Southeren Poverty Law Center

New Black Panther Party will be armed during RNC protests

The chairman of the New Black Panther Party, a “black power movement, said his group will carry arms for self-defense during protests at the Republican convention next week if allowed under Ohio law.

“If it is an open state to carry, we will exercise our Second Amendment rights because there are other groups threatening to be there that are threatening to do harm to us, Hashim Nzinga, chairman of the New Black Panther Party, told Reuters in an interview.

“If that state allows us to bear arms, the Panthers and the others who can legally bear arms will bear arms.

NY Post

Considering the history of the New Black Panthers looks obvious the open carry of firearms is strictly for the purpose intimidation.

I produced a syndicated weekly radio program for the University of Chicago when the original BP's were active. The organization's headquarters were within a few blocks of our studio and they were reasonably - though perhaps not enthusiastically - co-operative in helping us do the background material for the program.

A few of our subscribing stations refused to air it, the others, we assume, found it interesting and worth presenting.

About the new BP's I know very little, but one thing is for sure, if any of the members are convicted criminals they will not be allowed to carry weapons, PERIOD, either concealed or openly.

So that could lead to some very serious confrontations. But if they are legally qualified to openly carry a gun, as far as I know they may do so within the law.

Don't blame them, blame the idiots who are behind the open carry allowances.

The old Panthers were different than these new , and most of them disagree with this new Panther philosophy; although a few old members eloped into this new party.

The climate that created both Panther Party's , was a White man's social and political Climate. No matter how much negativity exist in both groups , the White man's hands are not clean in the historical matter. It created the environment for growth. It created the need for black radicalism. Whatever blacks did then and now , the white man did it first.

We had some good teachers.

So, an officer comes up against a crowd of radical black guys carrying assault rifles. He suspects that some of them may have criminal records & are, therefore, not permitted by law to be carrying those arms. What does he do? Walk up to them... "Excuse me Sir, do you mind if I see your I.D. so I can run a background check on you"? Or does he simply pull the trigger on his own gun as soon as one turns towards him?

The same as they do for the radical Islamic extremists over here, video the event, investigate the participants identities, then visit them at home alone.

I support open carry and like Lars answer. I believe I have been consistent in that though one has rights, no need to be stupid about it. Not just about guns but all rights.

What about the 'Right' to peace of mind ?

Maybe a naive question.......but if in an open carry state, every 15th person insisted or simply availed themselves of their rights ? Does that mean the other 14 people were now fearful ?

To put this into some perspective, I live in a country where I hardly ever see police carry arms, other than on TV outside number 10.

Passing through an airport and seeing groups of police patrolling with what I believe are sub machine guns, should make me feel safe.

I know they are there to protect me.............so why when I see them do I feel nervous and afraid ?

If the reason is because I am not used to being around armed police............I am extremely grateful.

To make it clear I support the right. Personally, it is my contention that concealed carry is a better option than open carry. No reason to advertise to the bad guy I am armed.

Where I live nobody openly carries a gun. Times I openly carried a gun nobody seem to notice much less care.
