napping during the day ....its a sleepers nightmare.

Post by magentaflame »

I normally have a rule not to nap after 1 in the afternoon.

I rarely nap because it stuffs around with my sleeping pattern . Hence why I'm not in bed at half past eleven at night and bored witless out of my brains.

I did some gardening for mum today in the heat and being in Melbourne I'm missing the eventual cool breeze of the ocean around three in the afternoon. Its so oppressive the heat. So what do I do ? nap at three in the afternoon. My sleeping pattern is now out of whack which means my morning constitutionals will also be out of whack which means my eating habits will also be out of whack.

do you guys have rules about when you sleep?

I was so tired yesterday that I went to bed about 17:00. Didn't get up until 13:30. Mind you, had the help of Paracetamols & Ibuproen, as I kept waking with burning throat, muscle pain & headache. Thought it might have been flu, but seems to have subsided a bit now, so maybe not.

5pm to 1:30 the next day? that sounds like you had a fever mate.

I've had a dreadful last 2.5 years with vibration. It's ongoing and although a few other people have noticed it I'm the only one seriously bothered and it's what's forcing me to move house. My sleep pattern was at times completely devastated. What I learned is if you can reasonably get to night without sleeping do so, but if you find yourself drooping just sleep.

Oh, and if you are finding yourself wanting to snooze in the hottest part of the day and be active more at other times I'd say do it. Works well in places like the Mediterranean or S. America. There must be tasks you've done during the day you could do at night, which would free up more day time for something you want to do, perhaps?
