I'm not a maths person. I need to know first why I'm using it . I can build using maths ......drive with loads using maths.......cook using maths..... rig loads and direct a crane using maths. BUT If someone puts an equation like that in front of me I need to know what it's for first before I can even make sense of its numbers .

Under our new education secretary math might look very different.

Basic math: 1 angel + 1 angel + 1 angel = 1 archangel

Basic algebra: 1 devil + 1devil + 1 (- jesus) = 0 devils
