NZ gets a 37 year old prime minister
Seems to be trending around the world.
Young politicians promising change.....but are they hitting a wall? Are they ignoring older members experience......will they really make a change?

Yes to both Mags. In my opinion. They are more likely to take risks to achieve their goals that older politicians tend not to make which means they might be more likely to achieve their goals but also more likely to come a cropper and the country with them if they really mess up. Like Cameron.

Suddenly thought of an example that will resonate with Anzacs: Churchill was a young politician when he organised Gallipoli in an attempt to end - or at least shorten - WW1.

Ok, as an old Tolkien nut I can't help but bite in a thoroughly nerdy way:
The sets for the films were all over NZ (and fantastic). They still have the set for Hobbiton which does nicely as a tourist attraction and was a first rate recreation of Tolkien's Shire... However, the Shire was described as being "North West of the Old World, East of the Sea" which suggests Western Europe and was specifically a remembrance by Tolkien of then rural Warwickshire which was fast disappearing into what has now become the West Midlands conurbation of Birmingham, Wolverhampton and Coventry. He loved the little rural villages and their people and the Shire and Hobbits were his memorial of them. The First World War hastened the process - so many of the young men died - and Tolkien was a junior officer leading these men in that war, which only deepened his affection.

I remember that Horrid thing that Ralph Bakshi did back in the 70s
It was even more despicable than David Lynch's Dune.

And now the woman is having a baby! Whilst serving as prime minister!
Is there no end to her trailblazing?
Well at least she isnt "deliberately barren" like our prime minister was. (Yes she was actually 'accused' of this in parliament)
Well , i say go for it girl.......and who knows shes in a position to change the rules......we may see more workplace creches in New Zealand.

What difference - if any - will having a baby make to her leadership?
Genuine question - I'm not in a position to judge, so I'm asking.
