* Monday we had 22 degees f & "5" inches of snow on top of 1/2 inch of "ICE". Very nasty!
* Tuesday we had "- 2" degrees f, all roads absolute ICE! Very nasty!
* Wednesday we had around 40 degrees f, better.
* Thursday we had 52 degrees f, a lot of "Fog", and very windy and heavy rain! (at least not SNOW)
HAPPY HOLIDAYS ALL!

10s or above covers many people, I guess! There are people outside the U.S.A. who use the old Fahrenheit. Why can't we use K, or, for interest, the Celsius as originally invented?

Its been unusually cold here in South Georgia. 40 Is low, but then days when it hits 70. People are often sick here, because of the crazy weather.

Aside from the rain in Ireland we here have had just about all of those weather conditions
To convert from C to F, just double the C vaule and add 30 and you roughly get the correct temps. That is how us canadians convert
So this past week we had about -2 (ok when you hit minus that rule don't count so sorry for my lazy ness to convert)
then we shot up to about +3C (36F) and dropped the next day to about -20C yes that is friggin cold.
This morning we woke up to +7C now that is tropical for us this time of the year, so converted roughly 44F and that is lovely, and between now and boxing day we will dip to -26C. Very cold indeed.
Calgary is blessed with with what is called chinook winds, warmth is picked up off the west coast and carried across the province of BC then it curls up over the rockies and curls down the other side. Calgary is located right in the path of the warmth. If you stray 20 k north of us you do not experience this phenom. And so we get the standard lousy cold temps but it is nothing for us to experience a 20 degree temperature change in as little as 8 hours. It is rumored you can always tell a native calgarian, we are the ones that complain about cold weather 2 days after it hits, because we are whining about our missed chinook winds hehehe

Not sure of the actual temp but I would say that it is definatly colder then normal.
Our furnace shut off due to not replacing it frequently enough so due to the house already being down to 60 let me run the furnace with out a filter.
I actually thought the house at 60 was warm compaired to outside.

This is our "bragging" wheather, our "whining" wheather starts in June, and runs through September. Don't believe the BS about "but it's a dry heat", when the air in the shade is 110, and the blacktop is 150+, its miserable:wah: , change a tire and set your lug wrench on the road -instant 2nd or 3rd degree burn when you pick it up.
I moved here to escape the Michigan winters, there, you rush from heated building to heated car, here, you rush from air conditioned building to air conditioned car. Net benefit here? ya don't have to shovel sunshine.:-6
