Separate, then what?

Post by Annie Mouse »

I was just wondering how many people had a separation in their relationship and then got back together.

Did it work out after the separation?

Should you have not gotten back together?

Seperation was too hard on the kids, I wouldn't give it another go because I didn't want them to have to go through that again.

I am sorry it happened, but quite happy with the way things are now. I wish it hadn't happened to the children though, I will always feel really bad for them

I left my husband then returned, Orange is right it's very hard on the children. I left my husband again in May and we're now divorced, I'm sure my son wonders if one day we'll all get back together again.

I should never have gone back, abusive men never change.

My inlaws separated for 5 years when my husband was in his college years. MIL just moved down the street to an apartment.....still came home, did laundry I hear.....????? Well they are together now and one would never know they had separated once, although they are not real lovey around each other and even sleep in separate rooms. I would never do that.

We were separated about 15 years ago for a month or two. I really didn't have a say in the matter. Long story made short, it'll be our 19th anniversary next month.

I think it really depends on the couple and what each of them want.

I was "seperated" once just long enough to save money for a lawyer to get a divorce. There was no going back though so reconciliation was not an option.
I probably posted that in an ambien trance-soryy

I would never even consider it as an option. I have no ill feelings toward anyone I was ever with where it didn't work out, but once we break up, that's it.
