Just heard about a custody battle in Florida about 4 year old "Baby Evan". He has been living in Florida with his in process Adoptive parents, (the Scotts) for the past 4 years. Due to a legal action brought about by the biological Father during the process, Evan's adoption was never finalized. Now the biological "Mother" has changed her mind, and now "she" wants the child back. It has been said She gave up her rights 4 years ago when she gave the baby up for adoption. Due to the fact the "adoption" was never really finalized the biological Mother will get the child away from the adoptive parents who have raised the baby the last 4 years. (To Baby Evan "the adoptive parents" are his Mom & Dad!!)
DO YOU THINK THE BIOLOGICAL MOTHER SHOULD GET THE BABY BACK?? :wah:

Baby Evan
Of course he should stay with the people who he knows as his parents. This is just another example of how stupid some of our laws are

Baby Evan
the child will be turned over to Bio-mom thursday unless there is an emergency stay. this is the result of some very complex law, but more importantly, the bio-mom ONLY pursued it to prevent bio-dad from getting custody...he had not been consulted at the outset, which was his right. this is a tragedy for the child and his adoptive family.
Baby Evan
If the biological mother loved the child, she would have his best interest in mind. To rip him away from the only parents he has known in his four short years of life is not in his best interest.

That is criminal after 4 years that this "bio-mother" (not sure she deserves to be called a mother when she appears to be so selfish) wants this child now just to keep him from others) I just can't see her having the babies best interest in mind. At 4 it is going to be so traumatic to baby Evan to leave his parents of 4 years. Poor little tyke why when it gets to a legal battle don't people sit back and take into account what they will be putting this poor child through.

I don't understand why the mother can't have visitation rights, which comes with child support requirements as well. But leave the boy with the people who've truly been his parents all this time.
We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.
