Resolutions For The New Year

Post by Wednesday's Child »

Any good ideas????

I am only going to choose one this year so I don't "fail" at so many things ....

I think in terms of practical and that would be to gather up all my 2004 paperwork and bills and sort everything in good order so I can find it in a month or two when the tax man comes calling.

(Sounds boring doesn't it?)

OK I'll give up something as well: I'll give up coconut because I really don't like it in cookies or desserts.

There have to be better ones than these....... WC :-3

We all have to prepare for taxes (every) year? If you keep track through-out the year, it is mostly there when you need it to be?

As far as coconuts go, you don't look as though you eat cookies at all.

Happy New Year!

Thank you ma'am....that's an Avatar..... and I love cookies....but I am one of those people who dash around burning up calories....

It was at the very least an abnormal year for me! Usually I am pretty dedicated to filing each month's bills and statements where they should be. This year I was faced with some

real estate items which turned me upside down....and until I get with the tax guy I don't

know what counts and has to be reported and what can be filed away and forgotten.

Next year I'll turn over a new blade of grass if not a full leaf!

Happy New Year back to you Paula......

I'm going to start travelling again. Have not done so in years. Fly to Rome, and work back through Italy,Austria, France,Germany and London. Perhaps might even hop over to the USA. Hey, I'm 57 years young. And Its never too late. I learned that right here.

Some of the oldtimers of August 2004 will remember my entry into FG. I was not the guy I am today.

As the Moon walker said, Its Looking Good Folks.

Morning Captain!

Aw you are gonna upset so many people when they read your resolution. I hope you stick to your plans. All those places to see and not too far to travel when compared with the North American continent and places located within Canada and the U.S.

Europe has such a variety of places and not too far away from home either.

But then you are living in a Green Playground and in a country I would put first on my list of "places to see".

Get your bags packed!! Time's a wastin.... :)

I don't usually make resolutions because I know I won't keep them. I'm making one this year that I am determined to keep. Since we are moving, I'm bound and determined to be more organized. I'm buying big totes and marking each of them such as Christmas, blankets, etc. I'm determined not to have to search for anything.

Now that would be cruel punishment.... it would also involve doing something really "wicked" to justify the punishment.

How about giving up something you don't like? Like turnips? Or some other kind of veggie!

Moving? That's a pain. I have no suggestions because I am still "boxed" from a move last year...I doubt I'll get to all of them for a while. I finally found my can opener after I went out and bought another because I couldn't open the coffee can! (tragedy)

One thing I did which worked well....I put all the drawer things such as personal items... into large white garbage bags and left them in the drawers where they were supposed to go until the last minute. All I had to do was dump the bag into the drawer when I was unpacking.

The worst thing moving were my over 100 houseplants....many of them didn't survive the bumping and breaking...

My sympathy goes out to you.... but I also hope you are happily looking forward to the new digs and the move is a good one. :)

My husband stopped smoking last year, so it looks like it is my turn. I have not had a wine or smoke since Xmas Eve, my bad cold also helped me in my decisions to Stop Bad Habits, that KILL us! I would like to live a bit longer.

"world peace"....

Oh ok getting real...

My NYR is to keep working on my new found independance and enjoy myself then as much as I am now, and loose the christmas cookies and chocolates I gained around the mid section grrrrr resist, restrain, refuse, ..... regret, keep them darn sweets away from me.
