Jacksonville, FL :-6 -- the weather is in the 70's and 80's. We get rain every couple of days at this point. We're at the end of hurricane/rainy season. We haven't really gotten a hurricane this year, though -- well, there was Katrina and Rita. 60 degree weather here feels a lot colder than in the north, though -- or even in England, for that matter -- because of the tropical climate.

Hi Malkeet....welcome to the garden!
I'm from Northern Pennsylvania. Beautiful weather here right now.
Chilly in the mornings, but has been warming up during the day to the high
60's. Sunny today, then turning to rain and possibly snow for the first part of the week. Tis that time of the year here!
Enjoy yourself at FG...very nice folks here!

Hi Malkeet from 'Sunny Sussex'.
Cloudy and windy here at the moment...I wouldn't discount rain by tonight, but the wind might keep it away as often happens down here.
Happy Bonfire night if your having celebrations !!

Hiya Malkeet, whereabouts in London are you from? I lived in Camden, and Kilburn and Brent, all N W London, for ten years but have now moved back to Hampshire, where I grew up. The weather is all set to pour tonight so I think our fireworks will turn into damp squibs! Hope someone in England gets a dry fireworks night! Especially as this is the 400th anniversary of Fawkes' attempt to blow up parliament!
Oh and btw....welcome to the garden! At least the flowers here will enjoy the rain! I like your name, can I ask where it originates from? Happy gardening! :-6

Hi Malkeet, I'm from sunny New Mexico (It's a state) I live at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. To the north of me are towering mountains, to the south, desert and Monument Valley.
Since I live at 5500' (over a mile high) the temperature is always around 70 Farenheit, or about 21 Celsius. We have sunshine 265 days of the year average, and so it is a nice sunny day today. I plan to drive out to the wilderness, about 5 minutes from my house, later today and hang out with some friends, have a picnic and drink beer, listen to music, and tell stories around a campfire until after dark.
But first I have to finish my grading.
I run a school for children who have fallen behind in school due to difficult lives. It's called "The Transition Academy".

Here's a view from my home, we'll be hanging out just to the right and at the base of that peak, come on over! (Oh, bring your own beer.)

The update now is still drizzle, but a little windy, if this holds for an hour or so the big firework display will be ok! It's not far from me so I'm planning to go for a walk and see some fireworks!

From Missouri here, and even though it's November, it's supposed to be in the mid 70's here. Normally, it's a lot cooler. I am so looking forward to cold snowy days!

up tight next to me, shaking like a leaf because of the noise!

Morning - I still don't get it Baby Rider:)
Last night our son bought some last minute fireworks as it did not rain. Got 80 pounds worth for about 50 pounds from Asda - nice little display and then we all had a drink, and me a bit too much, just got up with a hangover.
Thanks to everyone that contributed to this thread, all very interest i found it.
