Why your name and av?

Some of the screen names are work related, others are names or nicknames, and still others are just made up completely. Why did you choose yours?

Mine, Annie Mouse, is a play on 'Anonymous'

Also, for those of you with the custom avs, (or not:D ) why'd you choose that one?

Mine is very simple, and one that I have used for the majority of things:

Chris - my name

b - First letter of surname

84 - Birth year

Uk - Where I live

Simple and yet informative!!

I moved to FG from another forum I was on after something resembling WW lll took place so I was feeling kinda nomadic. The av is apt to change now and then, but this one is the happy dance, I feel pretty happy most of the time.

The aviatar is new and I love it..........

Didn't have one before cause nothing "spoke" to me.

This happy green monster is just clomping along, bouncing here and bouncing there. It makes me happy just to see it.

Since finally selecting one, I feel different now when I post and I think others are responding to me in a different way now that I have an "IDENTITY........... But this speaks of me too ---- PROCRASTINATOR - ALL IN CAPS

When I first go online, I went to Yahoo chat. I got so sick of pm's of "Are you married" that I went by PegBundy and my age at the time to say "Married With Children". After 6 years, and no more yahoo chat for me, I shortened it to Peg which I use on almost every site I go to.

As for the avatar, a friend of mine makes mine for me and each one of them have "attitude".

I got the nickname pocketvenus because of my curves ans stature, years ago...

When l got into forums l decided to use it... the avatar sorta looks like me and l like the mythical..

Alobar is a character in a Tom Robbins novel called Jitterbug Perfume. He is the classic mythological warrior/king who doesn't die and transforms into the wizened old sage. Ben Kenobie(sp) is the same character.

In case it's not apparent to some, my name is Devastate Me. One of my favorite co-workers from a previous job had that as her personalized liscence plate. (Actually, I think it was "devist8u") I thought it was cute.

As for the avatar, I thought it hinted at sensuality.

I chose Penelope Pitstop because she couldn't be any more different than I am ... well she is a cartoon for starters and I'm real, at least I think I am ... but then again, I could be a figment of someone else's imagination - or part of someone's rather long dream. *shrugs* who knows

As for this av, well its not a custom one because I haven't forked over the required dosh ... but this one appealed the most from the assortment offered.

Oh, and hello by the way!

I think that all to many people make up a personality on the boards. I've never bothered - I'm me wherever I am. Some places one part of my personality is stronger than the rest of it, but it's still me out there.

I've had the name since I lived in the north valley of Albuquerque and my name is Vanessa. Not very creative but when again I can't remember a whole slew of names so I stuck with it. The AV is courtesy of BTS - I like the bouncing sheep. It's excited and fluffy ... and he couldn't find a cool bouncing pig.

OOOOO.......should I tell what BTS stands for?? The bidding starts NOW!!!!

Mine is some pared down version of a past name that an old friend gave me, I liked it so kept it when I moved on. My Av, ahahaha always changes currently this one cause it is fast approaching winter here and she looks very snow queenish which makes me feel right at home in the cold winter climes of Canada, but it could change at anytime. My Avs change with the wind hehehehe
