Oh, I remember having to wait in line to get one for my daughter before Christmas-they threw the dolls into the crowd, what you caught, you kept! I was lucky to get her a nice one!

I wasn't interested in them, but a young woman I worked with was gun-ho crazy to get them and offered to get me two for my girls. What the heck. No sweat on my part and my girls were delighted.

A Shirley Temple doll! How cool! I had a ballerina doll, with jointed legs and arms, you could pose her. I remember she got hurt, and had to go to a real dolly hospital, where there was a doctor and nurse to fix her up!
