Same here... there are so many things to do in DC... I love days like that. Then to come back home and relax away from the metro area... :D

Oh, there are so many places to go there-the Native American Museum, the Space Museum, and the Natural history is always a hit with kids, they love those dinosaur bones!

DC is my home town, i really miss all the museums. and soon the national Christmas tree and ice skating on the reflecting pool. when i was a kid all the big dept. stores like woody's had the most magical animated decorations in the windows, we looked forward to it every year. *sigh* good memories.

Ah, how I'd love to go again....... Was once in the early sixtys, I think, and then a few years latter I took my little sister with me over a long weekend.

I've been talking to my husband about a trip there in the Spring. I want to see the Vietnam Wall. I've seen the travelng one and that is amazing, but to see the one there.........

How true of people who live by major attractions. Since it is always there, there is alway another day to go and see it. I live outside of Cleveland, Ohio and have yet to go to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

I take for granted living so close to DC as well. I liked the Holocaust museum even though its very hard to make it through there. You can just feel pain and sadness all over. I like the Natural HIstory museum too. And its great exercise to walk to all of the different monuments. Hey, and Im glad to see you spending some quality time with your kids. Im sure it was great all of you just being together to enjoy our Nation's capitol!

Anewlife, you need to write us when you go down there next, we'll take the tour with you! I agree with Bos' the Space Museum is great, with IIMAX!

*but everyone knows I love the Native American Museum the best*
