Hi, we are a new Theatre Group bades in Edinburgh UK and we are staging two performances of John Steinbeck's 'The Moon is Down'. We are raising money for a community centre and the children and elderly who attend it. We are looking for donations to help with the cost of putting it on and would appreciate any money no matter how small anyone would like to donate. Hi, thanks for the reply. Sorry am new to all this forum thing! Well, my name is Craig and my collegue is Andy, we are both university graduates, Andy from the US me from Scotland. We both have a passion for theatre and also film in my case, and since we have been in Edinburgh we have been looking to get something going that would allow us to get some community theatre on the map. Andy is directing the play whilst I am producing. We want to put on this play because firstly its a relevent one in today's climate and one we both love. Andy has worked in the US on various productions whilst I have been involved in scripting and film journalism. If you have a look at our website it will tell you a little bit about the play and what we are trying to do. As I said I am new to this forum thing but we thought it would be a good way to meet people who might want to be involved through sponsorship.

Hi Craig, pleased to meet u, welcome to FG. Sounds as though u have an interesting set of ideas for this play that u are making. I wish u luck with it all, and hope it becomes both successful and a lot of fun for u both.

Hi Chris

Nice to meet you to and thanks for your kind welcome and support. So far we have been finding it really hard to a) get people to our website and B) secure funding, all we need is funding to cover hall hire and copyright fee, anything we make profit wise goes to the good work of the centre. Every other aspect of the production is going well, we have a cast in place and everyone is reaqlly enthuiastic so thats great. I'm glad I stumbled accross this forum and I hope that we can continue to exchange messages and get to know each other better in the future.
