Um, don't know what you are making (and it DOES sound good!) but

traditional gelato IS made with cream... with a softer consistency than

regular ice cream...

Betty...you're a treasure.

You will love starting from scratch...it'll be so liberating.

The first Christmas my daughter was on her own her daughter was 2. She had no money and her christmas tree was a branch of a tree decorated with all sorts of home made stuff. It was the best tree i have ever seen....it showed such spirit.

Who needs lights, baubles and tinsel ? Everyones got those... YOur kids will love to make their own unique decorations xxx

My tree is normally decorated with toilet roll angels, salt dough shapes the kids have moulded and then painted.:)

I just can't bring myself not to put them on as I know exactly when they were made and each one has a special memory for me.:-4

no garland here, my decorations are all pieces I have collected over the years no traditional balls, more bits and pieces from craft fares and such.

I know!! I've been trying to remember how to make angels out of card! I'm off shopping all day tomorrow to Plymouth, our nearest big city. Going to be looking for things the children can get creative with.

I think I may spoil us and have a real tree this year! I'm getting excited just thinking about it! All the things we haven't been able to do!! hehehehe

The only downside is my day with the kids is going to be Boxing Day as he's having them Christmas Eve and Day, I've been coping better with our split so I thought I'd be generous this year and let him have them. I know that on Christmas Day I'll be with my family having fun, admittidly it won't be quite the same but I'm sure it will be fine! :)

Ho-Ho-Ho Merry Christmas to one & all!!!

Yesterday My wife & I took our Granddaughter to Radio City Music Hall, in NYC.

Their Christmas Show they performed was positively magical, & fantastically glorious!! The world famous "Rockettes" performed many precision dance routines, that were absolutely spectacular!!! Our favoriate was their march of the "Wooden Toy Soldiers" routine! :)

We all enjoyed the show immensely, & it most certainly sent everyone leaving there with having a joyous Christmas spirit !!! :)

(BTW: It did not rain like it was forcast last Monday, so that made the trip great)

Actually there was absolutely NO ROOM at all to tap dance on the side walks, there were wall to wall people. It was hard to just try to walk, as it was elbow against elbow, unbelievable. I don't know how the people that live there do it every day like that! Especially, yesterday there was a comotion in front of the Trump Hotel & Towers, with dozens of police cars, police with guns drawn, Handlers with Police dogs sniffing bushes & cars, & SWAT team with automatic guns all searching for ???? Don't know didn't hang around there too long!

But yes, still was in the "Christmas" (Not politically correct, who cares) Mood!!! :)

Or is it all about family and friends and exchanging crap that you don't really want to begin with? Going to church early christmas eve so that 'christ' doesn't interrupt your christmas morning? Giving cash or gift cards because you can't be bothered to really know what might interest them, but feel you need to spend a certain amount per head....

Christmas isn't christmas anymore, it's a 'blue light' special at kmart..

I've got about 7 more to buy for. So thats pretty good going for me.

It was manic in town today where I live, luckily I can walk in and only had to get a few bits off the market. We had the french market today in the market place and I found some beautiful things from there for my godchildren.

I have writen all my christmas cards now though, last year I posted them too late and everyone got theirs in January.:-5

Oh I will try and do so, though thankfully our city isn't mad and doesn't put them up sometime during mid November, because that would be a little over the top.

Oh though speaking of over the top, we have some one that lives near us, whose outside of his house, is crammed, (and I really mean crammed!) full of lights and decorations, it's something to behold!!!!

I dare to think what his electricity bill is by January though!! :wah:

Well I know that in a town near us, they have a whole street, (and I really mean the whole street, all 30 houses!!) that go a bit too mad when it comes to putting out the decorations. The whole street turns into a Xmas village of sorts, and they really pull out all the stops. God knows how u could try and get to sleep with all that light coming from outside, must be impossible!!

Speaking of Roboraptors, we got one whilst on holiday, and have to say it's pretty darn impressive, even for me. Kinda delicate but still really fun to use.
