Jives gets death threats

I can understand this choice of action. A pre-emptive strike in this situation can cause a very serious back lash. These gangs don't think logically. A pre-emptive strike to deal with this type of collective would have to deal with them all to make them think twice. And then it would only take one moron to create a bloodbath. Nonetheless, some form of reconnaisance is required to see this through. Play very safe Jives. Your life is worth more than you think. Consider the kids who would lack your direction. Consider your wife, as you already have.

Far, you're a different person. It may well work for you. You and Jives are very different as is apparent from your posts. We all do what we think is right and often, if we work by our instincts, it proves to be the right thing. Don't consider yourself the lesser man just because your instinct didn't coincide with Jives's. My concern now is that we haven't heard from Jives today. Hope he comes on soon.

Jives is not always online on the weekends, i am not worried about him, he can handle himself.

LC even though Jives can handle himself, a "gun" in the hands of that little 14 year old thug can make him into a 10 foot tall killer! I am very worried for Jives, as "kids" (even though he's a thug, he's still a kid) are very unpredictable! :wah:

one bullet is all it takes. but the kid'll either not go through with it or do something completely stupid and in the end Jives and his family will be safe, the kid will get whats rightfully his and then we can all join in on the victory dance. :guitarist

I'm from the UK Far Rider, if guns are used in any attack then it hits the news big time and everyone knows about it.

I don't mind admitting that guns scare the crap out of me.

That's so true Sherry. We don't usually get a lot of news stories about guns being involved here in the UK, but there is always a new death reported it seems every day on the news, be it local or regional. Most of them seem to be knife related, but sadly these stories are becoming common place nowadays. So sad!! :-1

i live in quite a remote little town & we dont have much trouble, reading this makes me want to live even more remote

you done a wonderfull thing by giving that kid a second chance jives, its so sad he dident take it & turn his life around

The door is replaced with a stronger one, the 9mm is loaded (I don't have any young children!) and accessible, and I cut a secret door throught the back of the master bedroom closet that leads to the coat closet right next to the front door making it easier to escape the rear of the house.

Meanwhile, I documented the entire incident, turned over the bullet, and informed the authorities and the school. After that...

It's life as usual, you can't let people like this make you live in fear.

yeah, I've had it in the back of my mind for a few years as a fire escape, but now seemed like a good time. It's really pretty neat. You go down the hall from the front door and take a left. Now you are in a long hall that leads to the bedrooms. there is only this way in and out, could be bad.

Now...if you are in the master bedroom, you can go to the back of the room, enter the walk-in closet, open the sliding panel (which was amazingly easy to install, All I had to do was cut out the drywall between the studs and install some standard hardware.)and step out into the coat closet. That closet's door is right beside the main entry door. You step out, open the door and are out of the house in seconds. Cool, huh?:o
