Poor thing....somewhere inside there is a little girl who just wanted a normal life, but had no people around her to stop this terrible disease.

Oh...and don't think that someone like this has no way back to normalcy, A girl I knew in high school got this big, but then she had that "stomach staple" surgery. Now she's a good looking as a supermodel. (expect for the scars where they had to cut away the loose skin, but those don't show much.)

Modern medicine is as amazing as it is unaffordable!

About morbidly obese people... you see their stories on TV and they all have "caretakers" that supposedly assist them since they're so big they can't even get out of bed. I have to wonder why the caretakers keep feeding these people so much food, they're unable to even bathe or use a toilet by themselves. A while back, we had an article in the paper about a 700 pounder that

so irritated. All at taxpayer's expense. She had to be taken on a special

flatbed thing if she needed to go to the hospital. Would lose a bit of

go. To a husband who obviously had to be bringing her food!

sorry but thats just sick, if there is no medical reason how can you allow yourself to get to that state..

there was a t.v programme on here not so long ago stating that ladies of this size earned vast amounts of money via the internet

believe it or not, many men pay big to have these girls sit or lie on them as a strength of their endurance

Being that morbidly obese is an illness, with an addiction to food and she must be lacking something in her personal life to choose food over life. I'm sure anyone this large knows what they are doing to their health, yet doesn't have the self control to stop eating.

And I concur, caretakers are just as much at fault for continually contributing to an obese persons unhealthy eating habit.

I feel sad for the woman in that picture. Exploited just to draw in a few bucks. Perhaps she felt...this is the only attention she's worthy of?

The sad thing is- Gastric ByPass maybe would save her life---if her heart has not been damaged from the obesity......A friend of mine has had the surgery- I saw her whole life change- her out look --just everything....

i would not think that she is "happy", but of course i don't know her. however, barring something glandular, this is a wall she put up, a wall of flesh. a suit of armor. there's a reason buried under all that adipose tissue.

Its funny you can become an alcoholic and a junkie - both destrutive illnesses. but become morbidly obese and your the worst of the lot - i dont get it .

So... the alcoholic thats slowly killing themselves and will eventully nead a new liver isnt as bad as a huge fat person . Then the junkie thats shoots up and overdoses countless times - they also get medical attention without question . As far as im concerned they are all just as bad - at the end of the day its the junkie and pisshead that will turn to crime before the fat person.

Yet drug addicts or alcoholics are pitied, "its a disease they cant help it"

Did hear of a woman like this who was winched out of the window to be taken to hospital. The good news was that deep inside the folds of fat, they found the TV remote she'd lost 6 months earlier.
