Uploading Pictures from Wal-Mart CD

Post by along-for-the-ride »

I am stumped.....please advise me.

Went on vacation up in the Smoky Mountains and took some great pictures on two of those disposable movie cameras form Wal-Mart. Ofcourse, I want to share them with family and friends on the net, so I had them developed as a picture CD and regular old-fashioned photos. Problem is, my Hp computer and Windows XP program would not upload the pics from the CD. I did take the CD's back to Wal-Mart; their photo machine could upload them, but they reprocessed the CD's again and gave me the Wal-Mart photo installation program, I went home, downloaded the program, and tried to upload again, but still no pictures. A pop-up occurs that states, "file not ready." :-5 There is nothing wrong with my Disc Drive, because I can play my Sims game on it and play music.

Maybe someone can solve this mystery for me.

Sounds like a duff CD. Do you have a DVD player (not on PC) you can try? If not take them back to Wal-Mart.

It seemed that the pictures could be uploaded on other computers....so I had a co-worker upload the pictures on her computer and e-mail them to me at home. Well, I saved them on my computer and, ta-da, now I have them to print or e-mail to others.

Where there's a will there's a way.;)
