Hi, I'm DonnaMarie
Hi everyone, thought it was about time I introduced myself since I've been eavesdropping on you all for a few days now.
My name is DonnaMarie and I really enjoy what goes on here. I'm a middle aged women who loves to read and I stumbled on this forum while I was doing some research into bookclub websites. I was thinking of starting something similar and was surfing around the net trying to figure out what sort of issues people had, what they like to read about and what sort of sites were the most popular. Looking for my "niche" you might say.
Anyway, while I haven't found my niche yet I certainly enjoy this forum and will probably spend far too much time here, when I should be trying to figure out how I can make a living online. Which is proving difficult since I have no real skills, hobbies (other than reading and eavesdropping on other peoples conversations online) or extra curricular pastimes. My 3 sons are all grown up and my husband of 32 years is busy building a new business and now I find myself with time on my hands and no real idea of what I want to do.
Maybe, I'll just keep eavesdropping and I might get some inspiration from all of you.

Hi, I'm DonnaMarie
hello donna. If you want to start a forum garden book club, count me in. I love to read and I love to ramble on about it afterwards. Not sci-fi though...I've never got on with sci-fi.

There is a book club here - I'm not sure what happened to it but you could ask Accountable.

Hi, I'm DonnaMarie
Thanks for the welcome everyone. I'm pretty keen to give the bookclub thing a go. Thanks for the input about gardening books, I could probably use a few of those myself since I don't actually have a garden (except this one now).
Maybe the avid readers among you could give me some idea what you enjoy reading most, I know the stuff I like, but obviously everyone is different.
If I ever make this into a bankable idea, I'll be sure and let you all know.

Hi, I'm DonnaMarie
Wow, this place is amazing. I'm not sure how to do that quote thing yet, but I want to add some replies to people.
Flopstock - Thanks for the bookclub input. Yeah my vision of a bookclub is part bookshop with all kinds of books to sell, part library with lots of information and part forum, where everyone meets and talks books. The sort of place I love to hang out in.
Ladycop -I found the library thread, thanks, I've already posted there, it's going to be great.
Snooze control - No offense taken. Sorry if my name caused you any bodily harm. Donna Marie is in fact my name, I call myself DonnaMarie because that's what my kids call me. As it happens though, I am "a little bit country - a little bit rock 'n roll"
Sing along now.
Thanks everyone for the welcome
