more messy divorce stuff

Ok keeping this brief but....

today I received another bill I have to pay due to the divorve it is in our divorce agreement I have to pay it, I have already argued with lawyers over it and they basically said NO GO you pay. What it is is the mileage on the lease vehicle. I was responsible for the overage which amounted to $X,XXX.xx yeah a big un. Ok the killer is the jerk off ex racked the miles up while we were married by a) using it as his business vehicle and not writing it off in his taxes, b) lent it to friends.

Here in lies my issue

My father bless him but crikey no more please

thinks I should go back to the lawyers and plead my case on the above 2 points to get this reduced.

I say no I will just pay.... why because

a) each lawyer visit costs over $100.00

b) I have no proof

c) I don't want to start this all over again, risk loosing and have to pay laawyer bills as well as the dam bill.

I had lost so much already fighting lawyers and the ex I don't want to do so again. This account needs to be closed and I am quite simply going to send post dated cheques and end it. No turning back.

But my father will disagree badly.

Am I wrong to just pay this stupid thing?

You got that right LC the lawyers in my divorce took all my money and prevented me from going to court (due to lack of money) If I could have faced a judge they would have tossed the book at the ex and gave me everything.

Pheck what I know now eh.

I am going with my guts on this I know my dad means well but I can't feed another lawyer ever again.

What might be a good investment is saving up some money, hiring a biker and having him beat the sh*t out of your ex.:Dor HER....BR would do it.:D

Wow Minks, that is a toughy. It might be worth it to get him andt he courts off your back. And is there a way to make sure you are no longer responsible for any future debts like this he can run up and you may have to pay?
