Apology to Stupidcowboytricks

Post by Accountable »

Our argument became heated and I neglected that the point was to try to come to consensus, not alienate. My attacks were too personal, too strident, and I took cheap shots. I can express my opinions and ideas without sinking to that, and I will endeavor to do so in the future.

Please accept this public apology for my tactics.

It has taken me over an hour to read the entire thread - Political Consensus...Although much of it went entirely over my head, the whole thing demonstrated how different we really are....the Brits and the Americans (and the Swedes) but the one thing we do all have in common is a powerful desire to defend our countries even when we disagree with the policies etc.. The other thing we share are HUMAN emotions .... good and bad. The 'discussion' did degenerate into an intellectual brawl.... but hey...in the 'real' world there is nothing that a handshake and pint down the pub can't resolve.

My opinion for what it's worth...ACC you've done a big thing publishing a public apoplogy...not sure it was needed though.

Openmind...you sure opened a 'can of worms' ! Hope you found what you wanted.

GMC....Cool answers ( much of which i agreed with) within a heated debate....

SCTricks.....some bold thoughts

BTS....I learned a lot from your contributions and links...thanks

Lilac Dragon....The same as BTS - I learned a lot from what you said :-6

Threshold.... has he gone ???? I have to be honest and say I also learned a lot from his posts as well once I'd seen through the 'emotion'...

Sorry if I've hi-jacked your thread ACC ....

That's very big of you Acc. But in my mind you were insulted and you reacted as any normal human being would have done. Don't worry too much about it. You are admired on this forum and it wasn't that long ago that you were helping people in dire need. Yet you still managed to find the time to post us about the people in trouble.

God bless you.

If ye don't stop this thread soon you will have to start apologizing for things you said during your apologies, you will all end up in my office, and I will charge you a fortune to sort it all out. You have been warned.

ACC, You are gentleman and scholar always, your thoughtful and considerate to all of us and sometimes we are just snotty and hard to get along with. You rise above that and maintain your composure always..!! ;) I read the thread and thought you stated your feeling accurately..!! :sneaky:
