I like the way he describes his work:

"the physical manifestation of a thought process"
and it actually makes sense to me, (when usually very little of the art world does) but I don't know how it can be called true art. Really weird, and very interesting, Abbey. Do you follow the goings-on in the art world?

He's just copying the life and work of Arthur "Two Sheds" Jackson, who was far more interesting.

I once disassembled my barbie house and then moved across town with my parents and reassembled it. All with the ripe old age of 7. Now that's genius :yh_idea

When I see some of the rubbish that wins the Turner Prize, I think poor old Turner must be turning (Turnering?) in his grave.

But then the question 'what makes art good' is a very subjective thing, as is the question of what actually defines something as 'art' in the first place.

Personally, I think awarding £25 000 to people who produce stuff like this just discredits the awarding committee. And the Turner Prize itself, which is a great shame.

But then, what do I know?

We have a cultural center... and "art" adorns the grounds.. there is a real nice bronze statue of two children outside the Library area... but for the center peice of this great place representing our city is a giant "L" laying on its back... its purple, about 17-20 foot long and about 4 foot wide the "leg" sticks UP about 10-12 feet.

When we first moved here I thought, What the heck? Why not a V? (city's name start with a V)....

So I have to find these things out... so I called the city and asked... I got tossed around to 5 people before I was told that... "it was free dont knock it"

So like any good citizen I just wonder why we didnt just plant a darn tree there.

Cleveland has you beat. Talk about ugly!!!!!!!!! but it too was F R E E

This sits in the middle of the salt flats when you first cross from Nevada into Utah. I'm not sure what the symbolism is...
