Gawd, how I love my sister! After my morning telephone conversation with her, I told her that I would be posting about her at FG when I got home from work.
Since I turned her onto FG back in September and she registered as a member, today as well as in other conversations with her, she told me if I wanted to know details about what's going on in her life that I would just have to go to the forum, find and read her posts! *giggle, giggle, she goes* What the heck happened to the use of personal email or a normal telephone conversation? Is a forum now the new substitute for conversing between siblings?
Mind you, she is semi-retired, has all day to play at the forum, talk on the phone at her leisure and procrastinate about what she should be accomplishing for the day. But, to phone me almost daily at work, then to subtly interject bits and pieces of what has currently happened...she chuckles, just leaving me hanging until I can check the forum in the evening.
I am our mother's primary caregiver. Mom lives next door to me and was diagnosed with Alzheimer's earlier in the year. I work a full time job and caring for mom is a job in its self, both physically and mentally challenging.
Since my sister and I live a State apart....I jokingly told my sister to let me get this straight....if I want to know what's going on in her life and have to read about it at the forum, then I suppose I can return the favor by doing the same for her if something should happen with our mother. Would this be no different than learning the details of her husband's car accident or her fender bender at the forum? (Any comments posted at this thread would be enlightening.)
Sometimes, I just don't know about her....but
I still, LOVE YOU SIS!!!!! :-4
