I have found this to be true and it makes me chuckle but I am not quite sure of the thinking behind it. So here goes...........when you are dating and the woman dresses classy sexy (I don't mean whore sexy) your man is all over you and loves the way you dress. When you get married and dress this way - it becomes toooooo much. My BTS wants me to dress classy - but the heck with showing leg, too much curve or cleavage anymore. Is that a protection thing or WHAT?????? I am talking about going out in public - not being dressed at home for my love.

When Vicky dresses up I love it! I love to show her off, but she does not dress provacative... So its difficult to tell...

However, the few times someone came up to flirt with her I have just stood between them and given them the look as if id rip his arms off, so I havnt had much trouble.

But I have seen someof these young teenage girls dress up in such tight clothing, and totally inapropriate for their age... now if my daughter tried that... well there just wouldnt be any of that! but if she went out like that Id not let a guy even look her direction!

And yes Im so darn old fashioned its not even funny... and NO im not going to change!

So classy is not provacative..........I understand the difference.... I used the word sexy instead and I can see that difference too now. Thanks. You DO GET PROTECTIVE then.. I can see you and BTS thumping your fists on your chests and saying.............MY WOMAN. It is very complimentary to me - as a woman. So I will look good and understated. I have so much respect for BTS that I would never intentionally embarass him by the way I dress.

I would certainly agree that there issues you did not thoroughly discuss before marriage and now is not too late to do that. Maybe breaking up the marriage is not the only answer or option open to you, but for sure gaining a new and better understanding with which you are both satisfied seems to be in order.

Go for that, Girl!

What the heck are you talking about? There was never an issue of breaking up the marriage. I thought his feelings were very complimentary which just makes me :-4 him more.

Demur, but still sexy, oh yeah. I had a problem with girlfriends in the past where they just would never get dolled up, except weddings, funerals, and baptisms (this may be an Irish thing). Most of the time it was a jeans and a nice "top" down the pub, where's the glamour?, I want my wife to be natural of course, not a film star, but if she could do the Lauren Bacall thing once in a while that would be great. So "sexy classy" as Nvallyee put it, oh yes, all the way. But again as has been said, not sexy as in porno mag, thats not sexy, thats gynacology.

OK - you men are telling me what you want in your wife..........did she ever dress differently when you were dating? I am assuming you married women that dressed this way BEFORE you were married. BTW....so did I.. OHHHH and what is your opinion on makeup?

My opinion in a nutshell.

Women should dress in a manner that makes them feel comfortable, while also producing a bit of an effect in the "other half" Dress how you want, but being classy in the way you dress and act, has always been and will always be, classy. If you want any ideas, go and hang out in the bars and cafes of the Marais in Paris, where you will see lots of elegant and chic ladies and girls, who havn't spent $5 million on clothes and beauty products to do it. Anyway, I can't undersatnd why men wouldn't want wives to look good or attractive, a pretty wife is after all something that certain men will pay a lot of money for.

Make up: Some, but the less required the better.

You can dress sexy and provocatively without looking slutty. Hubby loves it when I dress provocatively. Guess it says, "Look what I have and you can't have" to the other guys. Now if I'd go out that way alone, he might have a whole different take on the matter.:wah: Unfortunately, I wear jeans and a t shirt most of the time. I want COMFORT.

I work with a girl who even when it's below zero out, she'll have spaghetti strap shirts on. VERY low cut ones. Guess that's why she doesn't actually have to work and I do.:wah:

Did see a copy of Gynaecologists Only on the top shelf once. Took it down for a furtive look but it wasn't up to much. Just a lot of close ups and articles about speculums and how to wallpaper your hall through the letter-box

I still dress nice, makeup and all, and ask my husband what he thinks. He smiles.

Its an ownership issue. I for one like it when my wife shows her stuff in public. Theres a pizza delivery story I would tell but its not in my best interest to do so. Self preservation and all that.

My husband doesn't care if I dress up or not, or wear make-up. I only dress up now when we go somewhere nice. He loves and likes me the way I am. I used to dress up all the time but as life goes and money becomes less so do my dress up clothes (and clothes in general). I go without alot of things and make sure the children get what they need instead of myself. I've changed alot and not always for the better. The hubby is not a romantic and doesn't see why I should dress up for him. As long as there are clothes to dispense of when the time comes, that's pretty much all he cares about. Self centered man isn't he? LOL
