Don't use it, don't like it...keep a small jar in the 'frig in case kids want it. Have to always remember to throw it out once or twice a year.

Mayonnaise (makes 2 cups)

4 oz pasteurized egg yolks (available at your super market)

1 tsp. salt

1 tsp. sugar

1/4 tsp. cayenne

1/4 tsp. paprika

2 tbsp. lemon juice

2 tbsp. vinegar

2 cup vegetable oil

Using a blender, beat the egg yolks and seasonings on high until very thick.

Add the lemon juice and vinegar. Very, very slowly add the oil, beating constantly. Keep in refrigerator.

Call me weird....I like mayo, Miracle Whip, AND homemade mayo. Perhaps I'm just easy to please? Low maintenance? Have no taste? Just don't care?

All I know is, that butter thread is how friggin many pages long?? Crazy, really. I haven't opened it up since page one, so I have no idea what is being said there, but it can't be good. Avoidance...that's the ticket.
