Sometimes, kids are really cute!

Post by valerie »

Yesterday afternoon, I let Tamsen out to the front lawn to enjoy the sun

a little bit. 3 little boys came by on their bikes and stopped to pet her.

They must be new to the neighborhood, because they were startled to see

she only had 3 legs and were asking me about it. I told them but they

still seemed concerned so I added things in about how she still had

fun, played with toys, etc. and then I said "And she has a Christmas present

under the tree already" and one little boy came close to me and whispered:

What is it? and when I told him it was a big goose that made a honking noise,

he put both hands up to his mouth and giggled with excitement. It was

sooooo CUTE I coulda kissed him. Christmas secrets. Whispering so Tamsen

wouldn't hear what she was getting!!

We had a springer called 'Theo' and he was 16 human years when he went to heaven. It was awful. My dad still cries about him. He was great fun and such an adorable dog. It was really sad when he died. I think animals play a very important role in a household. :)

Yes, she always has... and she KNOWS she has them. She is such a

good girl though that she will NOT touch them until it's Christmas

morning and we hand them to her. It's really pretty remarkable,

when you think about all you hear about dogs getting into things left

under the tree. But she is a VERY respectful sort of girl!

When I and my hubby had our first Christmas together I was floored by some gifts being from his parents dogs, all three of them. This had been going on since my hubby and his brother were little ones. The dogs are gone now and our dog has taken notice to leave gifts for family members. The first year our dog left a gift on our tree that had choco balls wrapped like ornaments . I thought our boys were going to need CPR due to no oxygen they were laughing so hard.....but you gotta love family traditions!!!! :wah:
