At last...
...a post to thank you all on Forum Garden for your support and encouragement over the past 3 weeks. I couldn't believe what people here were willing to do to help me out and I feel very humbled by the experience. In addition to your posts I received pms, telephone numbers and offers of hospitality. You shone, every one of you, and a mere "thank you" just doesn't do you justice.
I'm loathe to single people out because it may look as if I'm minimising other's efforts. I'm not, believe me. Every single post was a blessing and every one of you put your own problems aside to offer me support. But I want to offer special thanks to:
Chonsigirl (for your calls and your caring, which meant so much to me)
Nomad and his lovely wife (who, without a second thought, offered to come and pick me up and let me stay...incredible people)
Accountable (thank you, Acc, so much. You have foresight and a deeply compassionate soul)
Mominiowa (bless you, you're wonderful)
Wolverine (what can I say?...you lovely person you)
And I'll stop there for fear of sounding like an Oscar winner (I'm already close to tears). My "performance" certainly wasn't a winner but I did win a prize by finding out what a wonderful, caring and supportive group of people you all are.
But, before finishing, I just want to add that the experiences of the past 3 weeks, were painful for both of us (although Theia, consumed by her own pain and disappointment, conveniently forgot to mention that). Our dreams were shattered. But I learned many things about myself. And so, although I can't put your name, my love, I thank you too.

What a sad ending.

We all love you, Theia.
Come back one day, and we are going to go to DC, and have so much fun!

No, but I loved the muffins. Put ours to shame. All those different flavours and twice the size. I went into Tescos yesterday and had the choice of piddly blueberry, piddly choc chip or piddly double choc. Where was orange, orange and blueberry, banana, pumpkin (didn't try those but nearly did) and all the other flavours?? Huh!

You went on an adventure few would dare to try. Be proud of that. You always have us as a safety net. Do me a favor? Try the next adventure just for fun, eh?
