A little something about your kids.

How very true.

It use to be that children looked forward to growing up and turning a certain age, reaching another milestone, an outward sign to show that they were 'becoming an adult'. . . . . . . lipstick at 13, movie dates at 16 etc. There was a standard progression to adulthood.

Now days, kids at 13 have fake nails and wear hoochy-type clothes and no one can tell if a person is 13 or 30..............

If everything is given to the children so very early on, what do they have to look forward to as they grow older? Could this be why there are so many depressed individuals? What do they now have to look forward to?

One study found a correlation between overweight and spoiled.....I know a few spoiled kids. They happen to be very wealthy (or their parents are).....Not that all wealthy children are spoiled, but the ones that are are given anything they want....too many video games, fancy gadgets and fantasy decorated bedrooms where they want to spend their time, are gaining weight...At least the ones I know. I've been to their houses and their fridges are always full to the brim and one house even has another fridge in their laundry room FULL of more sodas and crap!!! I dunno.........seems spoiled and wealth are connected.
