What'd I Miss?

My computer is about 3 years old. It was getting slower and slower, taking forever to process all the hidden programs just to get started.



So I backed up my important docs and inserted the CD that came with the computer in case of a crash. Bingo! It's like I have a new computer fresh out of the box. It took me half a day to get all the Windows updates, etc. but by and large, I'm a happy man.



One problem though: now the animated smileys and pictures don't move. I used my wife's laptop and was surprised to see BTS' snowman mooning me! :wah:



What do I need to do to re-animate the animated smileys that aren't animated on my computer?

Bumping this 'cause I still can't get it working. Any suggestions? Cheap ones, that is.
