Navy Honor Guard

Post by SOJOURNER »

The funeral we attended today had a Navy Honor Guard there.

The flag was held over the coffin while taps were played. Played so beautifully and movingly that I could not stop the tears from streaking down my cheeks. Then they folded the flag -- ever so slowly and carefully. The folded flag was then presented to the widow.

Ah! Very simple. Very powerful. Very memorable.

No emotion crikey I would never be able to do so as you men have.

ie: ex father in laws funeral bawled like a 4 year old the entire cermony and grave side prayers.

Cudos to anyone who can remain strong in trying times like those.
