Size has everything to do with achievement

Post by weeder »

I dont feel that small stature stifles achievement, however I have found it stymies

the growth of interpersonal relationship skills.I have found it difficult to be in the company of short men. Im not generalizing, however I have found those Ive known to be difficult to get along with. Because size (understandably) is an issue with them.. they tend to develope a personality geared towards compensating for their size. That being false bravado. Perhaps professionally they strive to accomplish more in an attempt to compensate for their size. Because I tent to not be drawn to small men.. I probobly dont know enough of them to know how successful they are. Honestly I do have to admit that small men make me feel larger. and I dont like feeling large. Ive always wished to be teeny tiny and fragile.

No, small men probably feel funny to begin with about their size. I have (3) tiny ones that work here, and i say to them, you would look so good in a skirt and tights, i wish i had your tiny butt. I have no problem with the size, they are people still? Women should love themselves for who they are not the size they are. Inner beauty and health is harmed when they try to be tiny, i say forget it, be yourself....

Oh the title of this thread could be taken so out of context.

I would still say in the proper context of the question, it depends what you do with it that matters not the size. :wah:

If you want to achieve something then, as long as it isn't something that is limited by height restictions (as the army, police etc used to) or any other physical restrictions then you can.

I was thinking that the small men I knew had the "little guy complex" and became overacheivers or social animals developing their personality to compensate. Then I realised that they just come to mind first. I know some short men that aren't this way but they don't stand out as much. So the question is: Is it good to stand out? Some people want to be in the spotlight and others prefer to be backstage running the spotlight. Having people remember you is only good if the memory is a flattering one. But then, the guys I'm thinking of figure it is better to be thought of poorly than to not be thought of at all.

If so, then it's just one more reason why I should diet. :D
We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.

"Has size got anything to do with your achievements?"

Mental Achievements? No

Career & Social Achievements? Definitely.

I am 6' 4" and do not believe that I have had to be as assertive or agressive as my shorter brethern with social or career achievement, but we can both obtain the same results.

Tall men don't dwell on being tall as short men dwell on their shortness.

In the elder years a tall man is more difficult to move around, a small one you can take anywhere with you?

My husband is a LARGE guy who you know had knee replacement, i can hardly lift his leg never mind moving his complete body. With this surgery and another one coming we plan to improve our bathroom before we get up in the years. He doesn't golf and his balls are not working, if they ever will again. (scared) :-5

If he's having what I think, then there's a good success rate, you could be having fun again soon ;)

And it's a great idea to make modifications to your home while you're younger, the cost of doing it all in one go once you're retired is amazing, and here the waiting list for equipment is so long, most people end up living downstairs for at least a year if they need a stair lift, and bath lifts are a rarity.

He will be fine, i am just joking about the balls, he did say things were a bit different. thats it for that area...hahahahaha :wah:
