I only have more book learning than my spouse. It has really bothered me. What do you all think about education (book learning) as opposed to living (life experience). BTS sometimes says to our friends how much smarter I am than he is.............GUESS WHAT!!!

Many people do their learning by reading and study on a personal level - and not by formal education. I have met so many knowledgeable people who do and do not have FORMAL education. I respect them so much - BTS is one of them. It is life experience........WOOHOOO.

So lets go back to IQ - or DESIRE - Or NEED - to WANT. You go Snooze!

My thought is that all things equal out in this life................we get to be symbiotic in our relationships...........give and take from and to each other.

WHY does it ever matter who has more education when you get along sooooo well.

The one thing I have over my competition for a job I'm interviewing for now is that I speak blue-collar. I'm the only one that's worked - physical work - for a living & a major part of the job is interacting with mechanics & heavy construction equipment operators.

Thanks. fingers crossed.

But back to the subject at hand. Smart people don't marry idiots. Sheepskin don't mean the person knows how to use all the knowledge he has in his head. The way a person learned to cope with & conquer life is far less relevant than the fact the person did it.

and here is the second test:

ACCORDING TO YOUR ANSWERS,
The political description that

fits you best is...

.

CENTRIST

CENTRISTS espouse a "middle ground" regarding government

control of the economy and personal behavior. Depending on

the issue, they sometimes favor government intervention

and sometimes support individual freedom of choice.

Centrists pride themselves on keeping an open mind,

tend to oppose "political extremes," and emphasize what

they describe as "practical" solutions to problems.

The RED DOT on the Chart shows where you fit on the political map.
http://www.theadvocates.org/quiz-score/draw.php?p=6&e=3

Your PERSONAL issues Score is 60%.

Your ECONOMIC issues Score is 30%.

(Please note: Scores falling on the Centrist border are counted as Centrist.)

ACCORDING TO YOUR ANSWERS,

The political description that

fits you best is...

.

LIBERTARIAN

LIBERTARIANS support maximum liberty in both personal and

economic matters. They advocate a much smaller government; one

that is limited to protecting individuals from coercion and violence.

Libertarians tend to embrace individual responsibility, oppose

government bureaucracy and taxes, promote private charity, tolerate

diverse lifestyles, support the free market, and defend civil liberties.

The RED DOT on the Chart shows where you fit on the political map.

Your PERSONAL issues Score is 80%.

Your ECONOMIC issues Score is 80%.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Libertarian Quiz Score 46
31-50 points: Your libertarian credentials are obvious. Doubtlessly you will become more extreme as time goes on.
Way too many teachers think it would be great to work with kids, go to college and then go straight back to the classroom to become teachers.
Now here's a problem...How can they teach children to be prepared for the real world, WHEN THEY'VE NEVER BEEN THERE?!! School, both lower and higher education , is an artificial environment! It's not like the working environment!
That's why I agree with ACC that everyone needs both real world expereince and book learning.
The books will give you the skills to tackle problems and create solutions. The life experience allows you to recognize the problems, and possibly avoid them altogether.
You said Neo-cons bastardized the word, why are you asking the question?
Dictionary.com partially defnes liberal as:
Not limited to or by established, traditional, orthodox, or authoritarian attitudes, views, or dogmas; free from bigotry.
Favoring proposals for reform, open to new ideas for progress, and tolerant of the ideas and behavior of others; broad-minded.That doesn't describe either of the major US parties.
Now, hoping against hope, will you answer my question? I'll post it again to ease confusion.
That's how you see liberals - the only ones for checks and balances?
