new year superstitions

Like taking down the christmas tree before the first so you wont bring in old year stuff into the new.

Or cabbage, blackeyed peas and others for luck and prosperity?

Or not doing laundry on new years day?

How about it! You got any?

Now there's a hobby for me! Following Far around waiting for him to mess up the date!

Personally, I just learned of a new superstition. You should never put on your socks until the last thing before the shoes. So I'm following that one precisely in the New Year.

Being a fighter pilot, I am extremely superstitious. I've got 'em all. The salt over the shoulder, the ladders and umbrellas, the bad luck tails-up penny, you name it.

The only superstition I don't have is the number 13. (It's actually my family's lucky number. In WWII, my father choose plane number 13 because that way he didn't have to share it with any other pilots. It brought him home everytime, once with 107 bullet holes in it!

When I got into the Air Force, I too, chose a plane with a "13' tail number. And I'm still here also!:D
