How did you get here?

I would like to know how you all came to find this forum, how did this forum come about and what made you want to stay. I found it by searching for help with a problem and liked what I found. You are all very comforting, funniny, and there is alot to do here. I use to spend hours upon hours playing Pogo games, but now I come here first.

i was very involved with another forum, mostly crime and trials. so one day while surfing i came across FG when it was pretty new. been here ever since, it ebbs and flows, but feels right. i have some real life friends here.

Well I did a search on a suspected (father) child molester that turned out to be innocent.......

and SHAZAAM I ended up here....in the mud and muck..........:yh_whistl

Why did I stay............ HMMM I would say it was because I felt I was right and wanted to defend my actions..... Otherwise I would have left if I was not attacked so soundly by the chorus.........

Hence I am not one of the chosen few......

I fell down a rabbit hole and met chonsi along the way and here I landed. ok no no no not at all.

I got the royal boot from another forum, and branched into a couple others (see clancy's post) only to find they never expanded so off I went and googled away and tired a couple others but they were soooooooooooo dull. Then found FG and presto, it fit. I was appreciated for my...... um, er, ahhh, gosh for whatever I bring along and presto, I was hooked and happy as can be to come here as often as work lets me ahahahahahahaha

I have to go to the doc again today so hopefully I will get the all clear and can go back to work tomorrow.

I service my vehicles at CountryDweller's shop. She told me about FG and asked me to check it out. She said the people here were very friendly and that I'd really have a good time. Well...I did check it out and got hooked! :wah:

I post at a couple of local forums in my area, but they sure don't compare to this one! It may take days to get a response to what you posted and I'm not that patient to wait around.

I've told several people about FG....they are lurking right now. :sneaky: Hopefully, they'll come join us and have a great time! :-6

I was sitting having a pleasant dinner at a local cafe, when a man came in and offered everyone a free ride into town. Well, I did have some some shopping to do, so I accepted.

Next thing I know, we're pulling up to a hospital and guys in white uniforms ushered us inside & gave us pills. I woke up inside a mental ward. I keep telling them that I don't belong there & I need to feed my cat, but they just laugh and give me a shot. Pretty soon I'm laughing as well.

I was looking for a Forum involving Gardening and Gardens and what did I find.....the most entertaining, compassionate and interesting bunch of 'gardeners' ever in the most innovative 'garden' you could hope to find.

I did find the gardening stuff I wanted on a BBC forum, but rarely go there....can''t tear myself away from FGs complete 'entertainment' package.

For me it was a case of ! if you can't beat em join em !

My bf is on his computer all the time and suggested I join a forum, I searched for weeks reading through as many forums as I could find, none interested me enough to join and then as I was about to give up I came across the garden, well I read as many posts as I could before the urge to join took over.

I have never known so many people from so many different places having so much fun. FG is by far the best organised forum with the most loveable members.

I was googled here too - searching for................... kindred spirits I guess used to be apart of the msn chat room circuit and been drifting since they closed (unless you wanted to pay to join - finances unavailable for that )

Sojo, in answer to your first question I also found it when googling "discussion forums" and my intro thread was so lively I couldn't resist. A member (who isn't here anymore,:( ) challenged me a lot and I loved it. Been hooked since.

In answer to the question I've quoted here, I have a couple memberships on 2 or 3 other places, but my names are not the same in any of them, and there's only one other I go to with any regularity, and that's the M/C's forum.
