rough day lady hope it got better.

My friday started the same. Told my boss I'd be willing to deliver an office chair to a customer in my personal pickup just to help out. going down the road I looked in my mirror just in time to see it fly out the back---totaled.

got to the address with the rest of the load, pulled into a parking space and the person next to me backed out. guess yhey figured they just looked 30 seconds ago so there was no need to check again. fortunatly just missed me but then treated me like it was my fault. Then the rains came and my county spent the rest of the day and the next under flood watch

give praise that God loves you cause some days it feels like someones out to get ya don't it.

Just finished my 14th day of work in a row. It was actually better than the rest of the week. Predictions for snowfall tonight have me hoping for a "snow day" tomorrow so I could try and remember what it's like to have time to myself. Think I'll go count the snowflakes :yh_hypno

Today sucked.

I worked and only made 50 bucks in tips. Partly because my mind was elsewhere. I pissed off my fiance today, being the ignorant stubborn jack-ass that I tend to be sometimes, and had to go to work worrying about him. Or "us". What do you do when you upset your significant other, you know you're wrong, you've admitted you're wrong, you apologize, and STILL, you know you can't take back the stupid, hurtful thing you did? This sucks. I hate it when I do things to upset him. :yh_angry

See, now you've invited me into your strange little world again. When you mention my name you can expect me to reply.

I would be concerned if I were you too.

I noticed how instead of responding to my comment in the Battered thread where the offense occured you have run about madly making references and obscure responses... yet in the thread itself you do not respond. In fact I don't find you capable of direct confrontation. Only cheap pot shots. :yh_ttth

Hi Baby, you just have to realize and accept that it will take time for him to heal. You can't expect to apologize and then have it all disappear... it will hang between you for a while.

You also have no control over how long it takes for him to get over it - you hve made your peace, said your piece, no you just need to get on with work and life.

Are you a waitress? and how much do you usually get for the time period you worked... 50.00 is not good?

I have defaulted on my back theraphy. When i return this week it will about 45 adjustments until straight somewhat again? Mine is in the upper back behind the breasts, i am not oversized in the boobs, i just lean forward, yes it hurts..

I feel for ya, koan, hang in there, I once worked 39 days in a row, had one

day off, (wherein I went to the company picnic!!) and then worked the next 15

days, so I do know what it's like.

Let's see... I got all my major housecleaning done friday (cleaned 3 bathrooms,

coupla loads a laundry, vacuum whole house!) so as to be sure and have

pull-enty of time for football watching saturday!! One great game that went in to

overtime, one blow-out. My husband made 7-layer dip with only minimal help

from me, and it was really good.

The daffydills I got (grocery store, 2 bunches for four bucks!!) are still sunny

and cheerful and make me smile when I walk into the kitchen.

One car stopped for me this morning on my walk, and 2 bicyclists said good

morning from a ways behind me so as not to startle me... what else... oh,

yeah yesterday on my walk I saw a HUGE flock (maybe 30-40 birds) of

Canada geese, I see them from time to time but it always stops me in my

tracks to gape... they are soooo COOL.

Happy day, everyone!!

Portland is having her annual ice storm, so I've been stuck at home for 2 days. The first day is always nice - all cozy inside. Then I get restless. Then I brood.

It's supposed to thaw today, and I really hope it does. Meanwhile, the street and the sidewalk remains a solid sheet of ice. I live at the top of a hill, so there's not anywhere really safe to take a walk, just for some fresh air.

Waahhhhhh!

I'm sorry to hear about the injury, LC. Also about the fiance problem, BabyRider. Cassie, what did you buy? :)

A Karenina wrote: Cassie, what did you buy? :) Well it all started innocently enough... I decided I needed a new computer system at home... so I bought a great pentium 4 - just the tower, not the monitor - I was going to use my own monitor.... so I took it to my office first because I wanted to transfer some stuff from office computer onto my new home computer.

but when I got it to the office and set it up and started transfering data - I realized I loved it so much - I could not part with it and decided to keep it at work... so then I bought ANOTHER one for my home.... when that one came... I took it home and I set it up in my daughters room so I could transfer some files from my home office computer on to it first...

Then she tried one of her games on it.. that would not work on the computer she has presently- and her game was amazing in the new system... so she begged me to let her have it - I said okay.. and then ... and I ordered ANOTHER one....

In the meantime I had decided - although having a new comp is great - if you are staring at the same old monitor, it doesn't feel like you really have a new one...so with the last one I ordered I also bought a 19 inch flat panel monitor to go with it..... and a new digital camera with dock to print prints, and a new printer/fax/scanner combo....

and then.... because I had lost a set of diamond earrings when I was at disney in Dec. (left them on the beside table) I felt naked without them so yesterday I went and bought a new pair of diamond drop earrings and while I was in the store I noticed a gold watch that I fell in love with.... I have never had a solid gold watch, only the gold tone ones like bulova or longine and they turn my wrist green so I have not worn a watch in over 2 years - impulsively I bought this 18k gold watch.. which is being sized down now, because it must have been made for a woman with huge wrists... I can pick it up on Wed

In the meantime.... my cell phone battery would not hold a charge and was completely dead and would not recharge so I went to the phone store to get a new battery. The guy says, the phone is discontinuted and they don't make the battery for it anymore.. he called around and could not find one anywere... sooooooo... I bought a new cell phone, but not just any one :D a really cool one that is also a camera - been playing with it all morning!

So there you go... from Monday - Sat, 8 Grand++.. but you only live once, right? :-3

Hey Cassie...I know that it won't just disappear because I said I'm sorry. I only WISH it would! But, then again, it dosen't work that way with me either, so I'm just wishing for things that won't happen. It's just aggravating because I know him, and I'm not a stupid person, so why do I do stupid things???? :-5

I'm actually a bartender, in a new place. The bar I used to work in I made about 3 times that for a shift.

Bailey's Comets...

1/2 shot of kalhua

1/2 shot of Bailey's (this will float on top of the Kalhua)

a few drops of 151 rum on top

Light the rum on fire, shake cinnamon in the flame for a really cool sparkling effect, put out by inverting a plate over the glass, suck the shot down through a straw. The glass will be HOT! Be careful.

I also make a great "hummer". So I've been told.

One Saturday/Sunday morning - many moons ago now. The wind was blowing very hard and around 6am on a sunny summer morning, I had to come down the stairs to let my dog out on our front lawn to do her business. When I turned to go back in. My front door banged shut. I was swearing and swearing at the wind, cause I was buck naked. A few of our neighbours were up and about. More gathered at windows to see who was banging on their front door. :-5 :-5

Let my Staffordshire take me for a couple of walks. Read some really nice things from a whole bunch of people that I don't know. Fed myself a couple of times. Read some more. Wrote some more. Had a good time 'cause I didn't need to do anything except have a good time. (the sound you hear is me knocking on wood)

Hope lc gets her finger tended to properly. Hope the Sheriff's office gives her a Cadillac to cruise around in while on the job.

Lots of aloe vera! Helps healing like you wouldn't believe. Also golden seal. (health food stores or herbalists)

Let your partner be the gun puller. (that is if you ride two to a car? up here it is only the night shift that does.) Now's the time to practice ambidexterity. Get well soon.

Aloe Vera is topical not for a split finger? If your Pit Bull teared a hole in you that would require stitches? Golden Seal draws infection, Aloe soothes burns.

Aloe vera works well for cuts. Used it myself, many times. A split finger is open to infections (especially a trigger finger that has lots of gunk on it from usage). I would believe that lc, had she thought that she needed stitches, then that is where she would have gone driven by another officer. If she needs stitches then that is where she should go, however, if it is not so, then the remedies will help. Either, or. Or both. It is her finger. She's the one that sees it. She's the one that can tell whatever is needed at the moment.

We are left to our imaginations. We just want her to get well and be well.
