Miffed man pays bank bill a penny at a time

I thought, here in the US,

paying in pennies was not legal,

just for this very fact. :-2

Ohh Sojourner why'd you bust my bubble. I had planned on stealing this guys idea and paying the annoying folks at Eddie Baur off in pennies.

Guess I'll pay them in nickels instead!

A long time ago at a place I worked, two men made a $100 bet. The man that lost went to the bank and got $100 in rolled pennies and had his secretary break them open and spill them into a box.

They had to bring a dolly in from the shop to move this box it was so heavy. On top of this the loser got a huge jar of honey and poured it over all the coins and let it settle down through the coins.

When it was time to pay off the bet, the loser wheeled the box over to the man and being the 'gentleman' that he was, got the shop to bring over a lift truck to load the box into the truck of the winners car.

Much was made of the payoff and it was accompanied by much laughter and good humor. The laughter grew to hysterical proportions when the winner took the money to the bank to turn it in.....................

What happened to the honeyed money? I DON'T KNOW.
