I prefer the Winter Olympics, more bang for the buck. I like all of the skiing except cross country. Hockey, bobsled, luge. Seems the sports are just faster and more interesting. Im looking forward to the games. Also its the one thing we can do as a world united that doesnt involve killing eachother, that aint bad.

Oh, that link is bookmarked at my school, Carla. We watch the torch relay every morning.

I already have my Olympic pins-I got a figure skating one, my daughter got a snowboarding one.

We are pumped and ready for it!

" KP--I just could not see myself still doing police work at age 65." you sure have that right!! my grandmother at 65, or even at my age, would not have even considered such a thing. she was making gnocchi and spoiling her grandkids, i can't imagine the dear lady in police work. wow, have generations and times changed!

Yes, it's in London in 2012................................go to as many events as possible. It is a wonderful experience. When the games were in Los Angeles for 1984, I went to many events. Tickets were cheap, and it was once in a lifetime opportunity.

Im not sensing the same spirit as in the past. I wonder why ? I love the opening ceremonies as well, thats my favorite part really. Australia did a remarkable job and Utah did as well, very cool what Utah did with the mesmerizing flowing peoply thing (memories fading here):o

I iceskate, we have a community ice rink in the center of town. It is very pretty, and everyone goes down there to iceskate during the winter. In summer it is a skateboard rink. I can iceskate, but not do the fancy stuff. My sister used to when we were little, she took lessons.
