real life internet

so here i sit chatting to my online friends & loving every min of it, its like im two diff people, i enjoy so much being in my internet life & yet (human contact/face to face life) is great too, whats hard is striking the balance between the two

anyone else working at this?

I hear what you are saying, l have to be strict with myself when l have family here. Working on stuff for Uni or the world would float by and l wouldnt notice sometimes...

Gotta admit the same.

I've got friends of old that are dotted around the country. So, I'm used to remote stuff using email, phone, MSN, etc.

But this Forum does me in. I'm not getting enough sleep. It's not on. But I love it.

You guys make no demands of me, so I can't even blame ya. It's not on. It's all down to me. I'm not getting on with me chores. I blame it on the Forum. But it's a lie cos the forum makes no demands of off me.

What do I do then? Where do I go? Who shall I turn to for advice?

I know, I shall ask my forum friends.

Forum Friends. What can I blame for spending my time on the Forum rather than on my chores?

The idea that I am talking with people from around the world really intrigues me. On top of this, I am fortunate enough to have come across a forum, right from the start, that is full of REAL people.

I don't have to be an intellectual, I don't have to be zany, I can be myself. This is a forum of friendship and discussion. Any topic can be discussed. From the most beautiful things to the ugliest aspects of life. And everyone on the forum is real. Their threads speak more than their avatars, they are bigger than life. (Of course, there's the odd one or two that don't quite make it.)

This, however, is the problem. When I should be going to bed, I find myself, instead, checking the forum. This is not good for me. I am constantly tired through lack of sleep. Neither am I getting the evening exercise I should be getting.

But who can blame me. this forum is so full of so many excellent characters, I have to be there to read their threads.

But, FG, I am going to have to cut down my end times before I lose my job. Hope ya'll understand.

This is wonderful place to escape from life, because it is a life unto itself. It is like opening the door to your home, and finding all your friends there waiting for you-to talk with, joke around with, have fun. For me, it is a needed escape valve from the realities of life.
