Weekend again

Post by Bez »

Good Morning World....what are you up to this weekend. I'm a bit late 'getting going' this morning. First thing I did was to check out with you guys here. Now I need to get dressed and then I'm off to a Buddhist meeting, a bit of shopping - I have to eat between visiting FG - and then housework, burning some CDs and updating iPod etc.

More 'pottering tomorrow and then I'm going to BINGO in the evening. i have a workfriend who doesn't drive and loves Bingo so I take her every 6 weeks or so. She won £1000 one night and insisted on giving me half. I still feel bad about it and will have to go until i win and can pay her back.

Have a good one :-4

Howdy, Bez!! Nice to see there's someone else lurking about at this time of day other than me!

Myself, I'll be working all weekend. My days off are Wednesday and Thursday. Have fun at Bingo and I hope you win big!! :-6

A 3 day weekend...HEAVEN.

I have just talked to my boss about retirement which should happen in October 2006. He's concerned that my leaving will be a problem (pity he's never told me that before) so I've agreed to work reduced hours which I don't really mind. Soooo...a three day week form October and a 2 day week from Jan.2007.....yippee !!!

I am so looking forward to it Chonsi. I've always said that I'll work until I drop, but I've put more value on the free time that retirement gives you in recent months. I suppose the fact that income will be reduced is a big factor, but easing into it will be better.

I think that is wise, money is not everything. As long as ends meet, retire earlier!

I know I save my money up all year so I do not have to work the 8 weeks of summer vacation. Being home for that time with my husband and children is more important then the extra income I would make-and working wouldn't bring in much more since I save the cost of not having to pay for a nurse during that time.
