Suppose you could take a "Pill" that could erase bad memories from your mind.

WOULD YOU TAKE IT? :-3

No way. That would make the normal times the worst I could remember & maybe take the good times for granted.

Only those that stop you getting on with your life - The rest is experience which is an essential component of judgement

Actually when you think about it, define "bad" memories!! How could the pill (which is said to be under scientist's development) really know what your mind actually considered as a bad memory. It may just erase many of what you thought were good memories, along with the so called bad ones. Seems too risky a chance to take, when & if the "pill" was ever developed. No pill for me.

kinda like the movie "Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind"

no way. those bad memories are what made me the person i am today.

without those bad/unpleasant memories, i wouldn't have learned anything from the experience(s). and i might go on to make the same decisions/mistakes again.

Sounds very risky to take a pill to erase anything having to do with memory.

I'll just eat me some chocolate, that always makes me feel better.:)

Isn't that one of the reasons that some take drugs or drink to excess?

 NO...!!! I work with people who can't remember how to swallow, or what a spoon is used for, or who you are.. messing with the mind is risky business, not a good thing..

No I wouldn't because I would then have to come back again to earth and learn the things that 'the bad times' thought me in this one!!

if you erase the bad memories, how would you learn anything. I don't know about any of you but all of my bad time is what made me who I am today

Never mnd the fact that often what I thought were terrible times and memories, I later looked back upon fondly as I realized that they really weren't so bad.

Each person is the total sum of their experiences good and bad, to delete a bad memory would be to delete a part of yourself.

Now...If you had a pill that would allow me to relive any memory I had as if it were just a minute ago, clear as a bell....

I'd be a freakin' ADDICT!!:D
