Change the Flag

In New Zealand that is. If you will notice the simalarities of the Australian and New Zealand flags, they are different and the difference may not show on your computer screen. New Zealand only has four stars on it's flag. Many people seem to think that NZ & Oz are one of the same country and they are completely separate. Some in NZ have suggested using the Silver Fern as an emblem on their flag and doing away with the present flag. I am not a Kiwi, but I think it's a great idea and better depicts NZ.

Those that don't know the difference now will still not notice. Just as those that think England/Britain are synonymous no matter how often it is ponted out to them will still persist in their belief that OZ and NZ are one and the same. Jokes such as a New Zealander is the one with the velco gloves go completely past them.

Wasn't there a US President who got Australia and Austrial mixed up??? I rather like Matilda the Boxing Kangaroo for an Oz flag. Canada did pretty well with the Maple Leaf. The New Zealand fern would do nicely for the country of Lord of the Rings too.
