If there was a public execution on television, would you watch it?

I would not.

I saw a real execution by chance on a documentary about democracy and was quite shocked at its inclusion. Having already seen one now it may flavour my opinion but I have not googled for any footage of recent beheadings either.

I do wonder how many would watch at least one by choice.

I started to watch that beheading that was on the net and as those guys chants got louder and they grabbed at the the young man to be executed I shut the computer down....they say that may have been a hoax...I don't know, I was surprised that I watched as much as I did......

Although I believe in the death penalty, I could not watch a public execution. The odd thing is, I think I could easily execute child murderers.

I could definately watch if I was angry enough. For example....that guy...Couey that killed the Florida girl, Jessica Lunsford. He buried her alive and she didn't fight him he said. May sound awful but I would enjoy seeing him get FRIED!!!!!!

Oh hell yeah. Drop the platform for the hanging, pull the switch to fry them, stick the needle in their arm, pull the trigger, drag him from the back of my bike over concrete till he's dead...whatever...and sleep sound that night. No problem.
