Rocks. I love them. I remember going to the flea market with my mom as a kid, and we'd go past the rock hound booths with all those lovely tumbled stones... *sigh!*

Anyway, I went crazy and ordered a bunch of heart shaped rocks for my co-workers for Valentine's Day (I never said I was normal) but once they arrived, I'm having second thoughts about my generosity. Here's three... (sorry for the crap photo, I tried to get my hand in to show the size)They are so sweet snooze, i have a heart shaped piece of jet Ian bought me :-4

My favourites are a palm sized obsidian arrowhead and an amethyst wand that a friend gave me. The healing properties of stones are quite amazing.

I love "Moss Agate" from Montana. It is kind of a hazy clear stone, with little pieces of prehistoric moss imbedded in it. They remind me of those "inkblot" tests. You can see different things in the shapes!:D

Stones are very meaningful........

I too have several pieces of stone I've kept close to me over the years:

A polished piece of turquoise given to me by a favorite fellow I worked with

A small dish of stones my monther-in-law picked up herself out West from the "Trail of Tears"

A small piece of tiger eye given to me by a another close friend

and lovely mounted stones from my ever-loving..........

Snooze those are gorgeous go for your original plan. I too am nuts about rocks for years as a kid I polished them. I still wander the riverbeds round these parts picking up rocks. My mom cursed every time she washed my pants and rocks clattered around the wash machine. I took my collection to the science fair, as well I earned some girl guide badge with my collection. My fave piece is my large hunk of petrified wood my grandpa dug up when he removed an apple tree from his yard decades ago. You are not a geek hehehehe

I thought my daughter was unusual having a large collection of stones in her bedroom, collected from beaches on our travels. Now I see she's not that different after all. Whatever gets your rocks off

I used to work with a geek. He was telling me one day that his girlfriend thought he was a little odd because he liked sausages.

He said "There's nothing wrong with liking sausages is there?"

"No, I like sausages myself" I replied

He said "Cool, you'll have to come round one night, I've got a collection of 2000 which I keep under my bed"
