Job Interview

Post by Saffron »

I have an interview for a new job tomorrow, thru an agency. They want me to interview for a termp-to-perm position. The job pays more than my most recent job I was laid off from. So I am hoping to get it, interview at 10 a.m..

I had trouble sleeping last night, does anyone else here have insomnia? I just took a Tylenol p.m. :-2

I've never had innsomnia. Waking upo in the morning when I need to has always been the hard part for me. Though after switching time zones it can take months for me to stop wanting to sleep in the middle of the day and then having trouble falling asleep at night.

Good luck with the interview!

wow thanks for everyone's response. This is quite the friendly forum. In answer to some, yeah I get insomnia. But usually nothing helps. I'm easily upset and tend to get myself into an insomniac state of mind when someone pisses me off. That has happened a lot lately, considering some of my roommate's kids.:sneaky: I have also tried melatonin, that stuff is strong. I may go and buy some more. I also use valerian root and Ibuprofin.

But on a lighter not, I got the job. IT's close to home and the drive to school is not far form there either. So I start thursday. IT's an administrative Assistant job for a company that manufactures machine parts. It isn't a job in the line of work that I'm studying for, but I am not planning on staying there forever, just while I am finishing school. And the pay is better than my last job,...yeah!:-6

thanks for all of the kind words. :-4

At the last minute (and I do mean the last minute) I decided not to take the job. I'd found a job through my school that has flexible hours. So I turned down the job through the agency. Needless to say, they were very pissed off at me and "terminated" me. I was also sick on the morning I was to start that temp assignment, and they didn't believe me. But Oh well, I need a job with more flexible hours that will let me stay in school full-time. I've realized that agencies do not care about their employees, But I already knew that. Why was I wasting my time with that agency? I do not know. :-5

Well the agencies around here anyway are excellent, and really do their best to make sure that u find the right job, and consider any other circumstances that may arise. They helped me find my job, and were even nice enough to send a good luck card to me.

Good luck with your new job though Saffron, I hope it works out well for u.

Yes there are a few good agencies that I have worked for. One of them is Spherion. They have very good staff and they did seem to actually care about their employees instead of their clients. :(
