Well I made it, today is "one full year" after my "EARLY" retirement! Sometimes I get to thinking about it, & it all seems like it went by so really fast, & sometimes I just start thinking &. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

(Got to get going now, have dinner reservations for 8pm & it's already 7:45)

Thanks, & you'll see 15 years is just a snap of the fingers Snooze, really it sneaks up on you out of no where. You blink a few dozen times, & then all of a sudden retirement is like next month. All I can say is, sock away as much as you can afford into your 401k, as that is what will make your retirement secure & rewarding! Money without Time is no good, & worse, Time without money is bad!

Only 9 months for me Cars....but I hope to work reduced days for a few weeks before 'The Day'. I have agreed to work for 2 days a week for a few months afterwards (suits me I need the money), but as far as I'm concerned I shall be a FREE person from October 2006....can't wait and I'm so pleased it's all worked out for you. Enjoy your evening....:yh_flower

Thanks Bez, we did. Wow only 9 months, you're right around the corner form that big day! Working 2 days a week will ease you into it, so long as you only do it for a few months as you say, don't get caught up in it. Being FREE is a wonderful feeling, no time clock to punch, no meetings to make, no grouchy people to have to put with, no pressure to get the job done, no Boss to bi*ch at you telling you what to do, you're your own boss, it's like starting a "new life"! I'm sure you will love it to, I'll be rooting for you. :)
