Dumpster Diving!?!?!?!?!
Dumpster Diving!?!?!?!?!
I love dumpster diving.. swap shops ... etc... Finding a piece of trash, and turning it into something great. Two weeks ago... A large wooden shipping crate, disgarded by a swap shop. 39inches wide.. 3 feet tall. Became a base for a counter top in my kitchen. Painted it white, inserted two shelves... Instant mini pantry... Years ago best dumpster find.. Ceramic tiles from left over flooring jobs. I used the tiles to make a mat for the front of a wood stove. Placed them grouted into a wooden frame.

I found a very nice coffee table beside a dumpster. The glass in it was in perfect condition. going to remove the glass and put in some bins and chalkboard tops and use it in den/playroom for the kids.

ForumGardeners! What have you all found in a dumpster, side of the road, in the attic or at a junk yard / garage sale that turned out to be gold like this?!
It's been a few years back, but before Candle Stick Park in San Francisco was built, it was a dump. Picked up a wooden crate of dishes (nice china) containing complete set for 8 with only one broken cup.
