Just heard on the news tonight that French surgeons have performred the worlds first Face transplant on someone who suffered severe facial injuries from a dog attack. Could you live with someone elses face ?

Gosh I don't know, maybe if something like that had happened. It would be stranger for the other persons family though I think. I imagine though that your bone structure would make it look a bit different anyway.

There is no way that I could live with a new face. I wouldn't want to be anyone else!

Also, the Government is either talking about or actually putting tracking devices in people's teeth so that they can eavesdrop on attorneys and clients. Be careful getting fillings if you're involved in the legal system, in any way!

It is only a matter of time before we are able to transplant 100 percent of someones body with someone else's, hold on, there something a bit odd about that?

If I was brain dead and going to have my ventilater turned of I would be happy to donate my face to some one who had lost theirs through fire or mauling. The pschological concern about the persom looking different is the same as if the don't have the transplant the're still going to look different all mauled or burnt.

I would be glad if some one offered me a new face if I lost the one I have now and I would be happy for my child to recieved a new face through someone else who dontated theirs.

But where will it stop, will criminals be able to get a new face, who saw the movie "Face Off" it was horrible.

I'd much rather adjust to anothers face than have to view the resulting damage from a dog attach.

Having anothers face would sure make for a good book. Person gets new face. Person is mistaken for someone else. Turns out the face was previously attached to a hit man and now 'your boss' needs you to 'do just one more job'............. You tell them you know you are behind the face, but the body does not know what to do, but somehow, you learn real fast...............

well better to be stared at for looking a tad "tilted" than for having no face. What a freakish feeling looking in the mirror every day thinking OMG I have a dead persons face on.
