I'm new not only to this site but to this whole idea. Is this what people refer to as a chat room?

Hi Leopardprint! Welcome to FG. No, this is not a chat room. This is a general discussion forum, with many sub-forums separated by topic. If you go to the home page, (you'll see a button for it in the top green stripe far left) on the left side of that page is all the different forums, broken down into categories. You can reply to threads that interest you, or create new threads of your own for people to reply to.

Lots of friendly folks here always willing to help a newbie navigate the site. It's a huge place with tons of fun features, so don't get discouraged when you don't get the hang of it the first day in here. You'll get uesd to it, and find your way around.

I hope you enjoy your time here! :yh_peace

Hey easterner welcome

Weee another Canuck, I wonder how long this one will stay around. Welcome, a forum is somewhat like a bulliten board, you post and others can add to it anytime. You can read and post to anyone as well. And sometimes it is live if our little blue light is on, and if not our red light shows up that means we are offline but many times we go back and see if we had any responses and will reply back. Easy huh.

If you have any Q's just ask.

I plan to stick around for a while. At the moment I seem to be addicted, I couldn't wait to get home from work to log in!

bottom left corner beneath your avatar look down to the bottom... see it

Oh yeah if you show red it does not mean you are not online it could mean your invisible.

At the top of the Forum Garden screen, click on Settings.

Click on Edit Options on the left hand side of the new screen. Scroll down until you find the option to turn off email notifications.

Leopard, have you noticed how readily the members of this forum hijack any thread. You might think the thread is yours, just think again.:D

I learned that very quickly.

How come despite the fact that I have much I should be doing today I can't seem to pull myself away from this thing??
